AmpHead Music & Entertainment Group is the Australasian branch of The Orchard, New York - the digital distributor of world's largest and most diverse independent music catalogue. We distribute over 1 million titles and 6,000 labels to more than 150 legal download stores throughout 73 countries.

AmpHead's services are multi fold:

Our core and traditional service is supplying Australian Digital Music Service Providers (DMSPs) with the entire Orchard catalogue for digital distribution in Australia and New Zealand. We also work with DMSPs to assist them with creating marketing and promotional plans for this new form of distribution and get it off the ground in a creative, yet organised and professional manner.

Our second undertaking is to collect content from Australian artists for world-wide digital distribution. This music is encrypted and then sent to the Orchard for global distribution. The artists are provided with a login and password so they can check at any time to see where and how much of their music is downloaded. This is of immense value as it allows a new type of planning to be employed by artists with marketing and touring. Gone are the days when a band is "huge in Brazil" and not knowing about it. Gone are the days when artists have a song that generates interest and aren't able to distribute to other territories because they're waiting on a label, a deal and a release.

Our publishing and sync licensing department offers our artists the services of a traditional publisher but in a non exclusive relationship; we believe that independent artists and labels should be able to maintain their independence and still have access to the wealth of opportunities available via synchronisation. We can provide this service and open the door to both local and international song placement in film, television and advertising and more.
